SUMMARY:The Senior Director of Pricing Strategy, & Contracting will have a solid understanding of government and commercial pricing strategies and reporting requirements. This position is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Pricing & Contracting strategies to ensure the successful commercialization of Exelixis products.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pricing: Support the development and implementation of pricing strategies that ensure optimal positioning in the market for Exelixis products.
  • Pricing research and analysis to inform strategic pricing decisions.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing strategies in response to market changes and competitive dynamics.
  • Support compliance reporting with all regulatory requirements related to MDRP pricing.
  • Government Pricing: Support compliance reporting with all regulatory requirements related to MDRP and the IRA.
  • Lead goverment pricing and reimbursement planning for pipeline products
  • Lead submission requirements for HCPCS codes
  • Contracting strategy and cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams to develop payer, provider, and intermediary contracting strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Support Pricing Committee Work Group Meetings
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: oversee analysis of market data and trends to inform strategic pricing decisions and provide regular reports to senior management
  • Modeling: Enhance and develop models for forecasting government pricing impacts on Exelixis; both near term and long term (Medicaid, 340B, FSS, IRA)
  • Adhoc Analysis as identified

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Position may have direct supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with preferred concentration in Public Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, Data Management, Law, Finance, Economics and/or Accounting and a minimum of 15 years of related experience, or;
  • Master’s degree with preferred concentration in Public Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, Data Management, Law, Finance, Economics and/or Accounting and a minimum of 13 years of related experience, or;
  • Equivalent combination of education and hands on experience.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

  • Desired 10-15 years relevant professional experience; preferably in US Market Access.
  • Solid understanding of the US Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry market access and pricing dynamics
  • Knowledge of market access dynamics, payer landscapes, reimbursement strategies, and GTN
  • Solid understanding of US Government Price Reporting (MDRP) requirements
  • Experience with launching branded drugs in the USA
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills including advanced Excel and data management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize time sensitive tasks.
  • Demonstrates urgency, respect and confidentiality; is approachable and interacts professionally.
  • Responds well to shifting priorities by maintaining flexibility and professionalism.
  • Routinely produces quality work, contributes to efficiency and productivity.
  • Understanding reimbursement for products under the medical benefit and ASP reporting is desired
  • Global pricing experience a plus

The base pay range for this position is $202,000 – $286,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan.
