A Senior Software Development Manager in Amazon is an engineering leader role that builds grounds-up technical capabilities while influencing end-to-end business and product strategy and long term plans. This role owns the India Healthcare tech stack to build India-first innovations with new capabilities that enable customers to get online consultation from top doctors within minutes, friction free purchase of prescription medicine and variety of lab tests conducted at time of choice. Key job responsibilities

As Senior Manager of Software Development for India Healthcare Tech team, you will:

• Own building India-first ground-up tech capabilities that enable customers to get online consultation from top doctors initiated within minutes, friction free experience to order prescription medicines and schedule sample collection for health lab tests at time of choice.
• You will own building technology that innovates for the India-unique healthcare challenges, solving complex problems to help solve access to quality and convenient healthcare for customers at scale.
• To enable business initiatives, you will lead the definition and execution of strategic projects aimed at building best-in-class experience for customers and doctors to be able to interact with online consultation while offering a highly secure and privacy first experience. You will build cutting edge machine learning and generative AI applications to eliminate complexity of ordering prescription medicines.
• You will have end to end ownership of cross-functional projects, including product definition, roadmap/resource planning and project execution.
• You will work closely with business and operations leadership, including executive leadership at Amazon, to define the product and build vision for the program.
• At the heart of this role is technology innovation. You will be hands-on in driving the delivery of critical technical initiatives, right from building the vision, requirements definition, designing solution with India-first innovation in combination with leveraging Amazon’s global technology solutions and delivering high quality scalable tech capabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience partnering with product and program management teams
• Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
