Strategic Pharmacy Account Executive – CarelonRx
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed on the requisition. Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
The Strategic Pharmacy Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external clients and prospects, and reaching internal health plan penetration goals through the use of strong consultative skills.
How you will make an impact:
Supports the strategic sales and tactical plans by consulting with key decision makers and operational stakeholders in the region.
Provides ongoing support to regional decision makers and support pharmacy benefit management (PBM) field sales team during request for proposal (RFP) processes.
Assists in the development of recommendations for outcomes-based savings, revenue opportunities and meeting internal health plan penetration goals.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences :
Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry most notably in pharmacy benefits; PBM experience strongly preferred.
Experience and knowledge working with pharmacy benefit purchasing coalitions, coalition contract review and negotiation, market check analysis and customization of PBM programs within a coalition is highly preferred.
A Pharmacy License or equivalent service in the specialty Rx arena is preferred.
Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and adaptability highly preferred.
Proven ability in collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts towards common goals strongly preferred.
Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.
Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties strongly preferred.
Experience working with generative AI tools preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, MS Teams, CRM tools and Salesforce highly preferred.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $123,228 to $220,050
