We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Studio Assistant to join our dynamic team at a busy artist’s studio in London N1.
This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working across a wide range of creative projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in art or design and will be comfortable working with a variety of artists’ materials and processes. The position is ideal for recent graduates looking to build their experience in a creative environment.
As Studio Assistant, you will be involved in supporting the studio’s day-to-day operations, assisting with both the practical aspects of the studio and the administrative needs of the artist. You will have the chance to work
closely with a range of artistic practices, materials, and methods, gaining valuable insight into the day-to-day running of a professional artist’s studio.

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A background in art, design, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of artists' materials and tools (painting, sculpture, printmaking, etc.) and ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Good understanding of packing, shipping, and handling artwork.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to different projects.
  • A passion for art and creativity, with an interest in supporting an artist’s practice.

Desirable:

  • Previous studio experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of digital tools or photography is an advantage.
