Job Summary Job Summary Job Title: Long-term Substitute English Teacher (leave position) Status: Regular, Full-Time Work Year: September 21 – December 2023 Classification: Exempt Supervisor: Principal and Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction Pay Range: $55,500 – $78,400 Flintridge Sacred Heart is a Catholic, Dominican, independent, college-preparatory, day and boarding high school whose mission is to educate young women for a life of faith, integrity and truth. We are seeking a full-time substitute English teacher to teach three sections of sophomore and two sections of senior. Successful candidates should have a strong background in English literature and commensurate skill as a writing instructor. The ideal candidate will be experienced in integrating technology into their teaching, and ready to consider emerging technologies to enhance learning and student engagement. We are looking for a teacher who will participate in the school community outside the classroom, support the mission of the school, and collaborate with colleagues. As part of an integrated and dynamic faculty, all teachers are involved in co-curricular programs and should share in a commitment to a holistic approach to educating young women. Flintridge Sacred Heart educators are members of an innovative learning environment where committed teachers develop intentionally designed curriculums.
