THE ROLE

As a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. 

This includes:

• Getting the classroom ready for lessons
• Listening to children read
• Helping those who need extra support
• Preparing resources
• Completing records/ pupils plans
• Leading small and whole class group work

THE CANDIDATE

• Experience in a school
• IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
• MUST be educated with GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
• NVQ L3 qualification or willing to work towards

SALARY/ HOURS

Starting salary for a grade 4 Teaching Assistant is £19,802.11 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust https://wellspringacademytrust.co.uk/careers/why-join-us/
