Teaching Assistant (multiple posts)

Required from September 2024

Grade 3 £14,963.33 per annum (actual)

Hours Per Week: 27 ½ hours per week term time, plus 2 Inset days

Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday

Status of Employment- Start 1 September 2024, Permanent & 12 month fixed term temporary to 31 August 2025 (with the possibility of an extension to contract)

The Governors wish to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant who is willing to work with us in our journey to outstanding and support us in driving forward our school aims to ensure that every child reaches their full potential.

The successful applicant will be committed to ensuring the highest standards in children’s education by working as part of an excellent team to ensure that the wellbeing, behaviour and personal development of pupils enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.

The applicant must be willing to work alongside children with a range of Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) to plan for and deliver tailored and personalised interventions that allow all children to access a high quality mainstream education, as well as supporting all children to develop socially during outdoor play.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can form positive and caring relationships with all children.
  • Is committed to ensuring the highest standards in children’s education by working as part of a supportive and hardworking team to ensure that the wellbeing, behaviour and personal development of pupils enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.
  • Shows initiative and the ability to be spontaneous.
  • Has experience of working with children in all key stages.
  • Enjoys planning and leading play-based learning opportunities.
  • Has a passion for the outside classroom.
  • Motivates our children to be increasingly independent and confident as they learn and grow.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge of early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
  • Has a good sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm.

The successful candidate will have the children at the heart of everything they do and a passion for continued professional development.

Applicants are required to hold the following qualifications: GCSE Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent, or hold a qualification at NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline.
