Job Description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for a teaching assistant/associate professor (non-tenure track) position with an expected start date of September 1, 2025. Stevens offers an intellectually vibrant, diverse, highly interdisciplinary, collaborative and innovative community and is a great place to work.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility will be instruction of both undergraduate courses and graduate courses, including:

  • Programming and Algorithmic Thinking
  • Engineering Programming: Java
  • Analytical Methods in Electrical Engineering
  • Senior Designs

Additional responsibilities include advising students and department services.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • Successful candidates should have a demonstrated interest and commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education and mentoring of students with diverse backgrounds
