EAST 212 Introduction: East Asian Culture: Japan

Estimated Number of Positions:

2 positions

Total Hours of Work per Term:

140 hours per TA position for Winter 2025.

  • Hours are dependent on course enrollment.

Position Summary:

Reading course materials and attending lectures, holding conferences (discussion groups based on lectures and readings). Grading exams and essays. Miscellaneous tasks such as photocopying, occasional meetings with the Professor to discuss course content and issues focused on grading exams and other related tasks.

Qualifications:

Registered graduate student (M.A. or Ph.D.) at McGill University. Must hold a B.A./B.A. Honours in Chinese Studies or equivalent. Knowledge of Japanese Culture. French language an asset and Japanese language desirable.

Hourly rate: $36,25

Position Start Date: January 3, 2025

Position End Date: May 10, 2025
