This posting is for one unionized contractual appointments. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

Position Summary: This requisition is for one position, at 45 hours, in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology. Effective dates of appointment are May 05 to June 27, 2025. Course dates May 5 to June 20, 2025.

Responsibilities may include:

• Marking
• Preparing Class Materials
• Leading Discussion Groups
• Assisting Students’ learning
• Must be available for class on Tuesday & Thursdays from 6:05PM to 8:55PM

Qualifications:

• Must be a current PhD student (or a senior MA/M.Ed student who has completed this course).
• Familiarity with subject matter of the course (Social Responsibility and Relationships in Digital Age)
• Background in role as facilitator, support role in relationship building an asset
• Background in Education for Teacher-Education Courses
• Experience using MyCourses for course management
• Knowledge in French may be required.
