This posting is for three (3) unionized contractual appointments. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM) .

Position Summary:
This requisition is for three (3) positions, at 100 hours, in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology. Effective dates of appointment are August 27 to December 16, 2023. Course dates are August 30 to December 5, 2023.

Responsibilities may include:

• Marking

• Preparing class materials

• Leading discussion group

• Assisting students’ learning

• Attending lectures is required (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:05PM to 8:55PM)

Qualifications:

• Background in the subject matter of the course

• Background in Education for Teacher-Education courses

• Knowledge of French may be required
