This posting is for two unionized contractual appointments. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

Position Summary:

This requisition is for two positions, at 65 hours each, in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology. Effective dates of appointment are January 1 to April 25, 2025. Course dates are January 6 to April 11, 2025.

Responsibilities may include:

• Marking
• Preparing class materials
• Leading discussion group
• Assisting students’ learning
• Attending lectures/labs is required (Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:35AM to 11:25AM)

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of statistics
• Background in the subject matter of the course (prior successful completion of the course [EDPE 682] or equivalent)
• Significant experience with SPSS statistical software
• Significant experience with psychological, individual, personality assessments
• Experience using MyCourses for course management
• Knowledge of French may be required
