Teaching Assistant – Grade 3

32.5 hours per week (term time only plus 2 inset days)

Start date: January 2025 or as soon as possible after this date

This position is temporary until 31st August 2025 (with the possibility of an extension to contract)

Salary: £18,308 to £18,598 pro rata

Closing Date: Thursday 5th December 2024 at 12 noon.

Interview date: tbc – w/c 9.12.24

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced practitioner to join a supportive and hardworking team.

The successful candidate will be passionate about working in an inclusive environment, supporting and adapting the learning and teaching of individual pupils on a 1:1 basis, as well as supporting groups and classes. Ideally applicants will have experience of working 1:1 with children with Special Educational Needs. They need to be able to demonstrate a strong ability to use their own initiative, build good relationships with pupils and parents/carers and establish positive behaviours for learning.

The successful candidates will have the skills required to work as a supportive member of a staff team, the minimum educational qualifications being 2 GCSEs at grade A-C in English and Maths or equivalent.
