Summary of Job Duties:

The teaching assistant professor of Educational Statistics and Research Methods is a non-tenure track, 9-month position hired to teach in the newly developed graduate programs focused on Healthcare Business Analytics in the Educational Statistics and Research Methods program. A Teaching Assistant Professor is expected to teach six to eight courses per year with a mix of face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses, as needed, normally with no more than two course preparations per semester.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a doctorate in healthcare business analytics, biostatistics, quantitative research methods, or a closely related field, prior to the position start date, from a nationally or internationally accredited university conferred by the start of employment
  • Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed quantitative research methods, data analytics, or related field journals
  • Demonstrated/documented excellence in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level (provide evidence of excellence in teaching such as course/instructor evaluations or letter of reference of observed teaching ability)
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience and expertise in teaching courses focused on healthcare business analytics, database/data warehouse/”big data”, biostatistics, or other specialized quantitative research methods areas related to healthcare research and healthcare systems administration
  • Experience in face-to-face and online course delivery
  • Publications in fields of quantitative research methods, data analytics, biostatistics or closely related areas
  • Knowledge of healthcare data and its applications
  • Candidates with qualifications to meet accreditation standards in the field
