Are you interested in working for a vibrant Russell Group University? Are you committed to delivering an excellent student experience? Are you ready to shape a new generation of music graduates by supporting—through the study of music psychology—their development of cutting-edge subject knowledge and critical skills?

The Department of Music is seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Music Psychology, to provide teaching and administrative cover for a 12 month period.

As a member of the Music Psychology team, you will play a key role in teaching across the Department’s undergraduate and postgraduate music psychology programmes and modules. This includes supervision of UG final year students and MA dissertations.

You will be responsible for the delivery of online and face-to-face delivery of teaching materials and seminars within a blended learning framework; undertake marking duties, provide supervision and academic tutoring support to students and undertake administrative responsibilities on the programmes as required.

As part of your academic administrative responsibilities, you will coordinate and deliver teaching sessions, and work closely with Professional Service colleagues to signpost students to appropriate services for academic support, mental health and well-being.

You must be based in the UK, and willing to work on campus in Sheffield to deliver face-to-face teaching, attend training, meetings and other events throughout the working year.

We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.

We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
