The Arden School of Theatre is looking for a knowledgeable and passionate LX Lecturer in Technical Theatre to join our team on a permanent, part-time (17.5 hours per week) basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the training and development of the next generation.

Job Description

Are you an experienced technical theatre professional with a passion for education? UCEN Manchester is seeking a Technical Theatre Lecturer specialising in LX to deliver engaging, industry-informed lecturing across our undergraduate performing arts programmes. You’ll play a key role in supporting students specialising in production and technical disciplines, focussing on LX. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise, shape the next generation of theatre professionals, and contribute to a dynamic, creative learning environment. Job Requirements

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Degree
Current and valid industry specialism
Certificate of education or PGCE
Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
Significant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism
Working as a team
Verbal and written communication skills
Meet delivery targets and plans
Accurate and timely reports and records
Positive contribution to planning processes
Proven track record of positive student satisfaction
