Temporary Part-time Hourly English Language Program Teacher (International Center)

The English Language Program seeks qualified instructors to teach in our Program. The ELP is a university-based intensive academic English program serving international and local immigrant students whose primary goal is to prepare students for university success. We are looking to hire part-time ESL instructors immediately. Our In-person classes run from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am – 2:35 pm. Positions are open in Glassboro and Camden. 

Qualified candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, Linguistics, or English. A minimum of two years teaching academic ESL in a university environment is preferred.

This position requires teamwork, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and the flexibility necessary when working with international students in an expanding program will add to the candidate’s qualifications. The preferred candidate will also have the experience and ability to teach multiple language competencies at all proficiency levels and will come with creative ideas for curricular development and programmatic growth.

Responsibilities include:

This position has a combination of instructional and programmatic responsibilities. 

• Teach courses as assigned by the Director and the Lead Instructor.
• Contribute to curriculum development.
• Attend all mandatory departmental and faculty meetings.
• Participate in program activities.
• Work closely with the Director, Assistant Director, and Lead Instructor to meet students’ needs.
• Fluency in Spanish or Turkish is a plus.

Hourly rate: $45.00 per hour
