Qualifications
candidates are required to 1) have completed a PhD/PsyD in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Health Psychology, Child Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis or other clinical science discipline OR a terminal Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology or Psychotherapy, 2) be registered or are eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario OR the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and 3) demonstrate an academic record of excellent teaching, student supervision, and practice in psychotherapy (and cognate areas).
expertise in teaching clinically oriented psychology courses including but not limited to foundations of clinical and counseling psychology, practical approaches to psychotherapy, and other courses the department may require.
willing to supervise undergraduate/graduate student research projects.
specialized expertise in working with children, adolescents, and families, as well as experience in trauma-informed interventions, is considered an asset but not a mandatory requirement for this position.
demonstrated relevant academic background, research portfolio and a record of teaching excellence.
experience with remote/online/hybrid instruction is desirable.
