Job Summary

Birmingham Botanical Gardens is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Ticketing and Digital Marketing Officer to enhance visitor experience and online engagement at our iconic heritage and cultural attraction.

Job Description

As the lead for ticketing systems (Spektrix) and a key contributor to marketing and visitor engagement, you will oversee a seamless and customer-friendly booking process for our daily admission tickets, ticketed events programme and memberships.

You will also support digital communications, including email marketing, social media and website management and digital listings. Your role will directly impact the success of events, improve customer journeys, and shape the Gardens’ presence across digital platforms

Job Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience using Spektrix (or other similar box office and ticketing solutions) for ticketing, membership, or similar functions.
Proficiency in managing WordPress websites, including content updates and integrations.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, with experience creating and scheduling content for professional or organisational accounts.
Hands-on experience with email marketing tools such as Dotdigital (or similar platforms like Mailchimp).
Excellent written English and verbal communication skills with a strong eye for detail.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
Enjoy working as part of a small, motivated and busy team.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience in analysing digital metrics and reporting on performance to inform strategy.
Familiarity with the cultural sector
