Mediale is an international media arts agency based in York. We specialize in developing, producing, exhibiting, and touring new commissions from artists who work in the realm of digital art. Our long-term partnerships with a roster of talented artists allow us to deliver ongoing interventions and comprehensive artist development. In addition, we organize high-profile arts events that inspire new ideas and perspectives.
Role Description
This is a volunteer Trustee role at Mediale. As a Trustee, you will be responsible for supporting the organization’s mission and providing strategic guidance. Your day-to-day tasks will include attending board meetings, contributing to decision-making processes, and participating in fundraising efforts. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will primarily work from our location in York, but some remote work is also acceptable.
Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit management or governance
- Knowledge of the arts or media industry
- Strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate the evolving landscape of digital art
- Experience in fundraising or financial management is a plus
- Passion for promoting and supporting new forms of artistic expression
