Job Summary:
The CU College of Nursing is seeking a full-time faculty member and energetic leader to serve as the UCAN Coordinator (Administrative Faculty Appointment). The College of Nursing’s UCAN Pathway is an accelerated Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing program completed as a full-time student over 12 months. The UCAN Coordinator must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado. The ideal candidate will have teaching and scholarship experience with the ability to teach across programs. This individual will also hold a faculty appointment of either Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor within the Clinical Teaching Track and would have dedicated time to serve as the UCAN Coordinator. Faculty rank will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community members from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Successful candidates will have recent experience in undergraduate nursing education and a track record of excellence in academic teaching. Responsibilities may include participation in the teaching, practice, and service mission of the College of Nursing and the University of Colorado. Demonstration of academic leadership such as curricular/program development is preferred. For APRN candidates, a portion of the position may be devoted to clinical practice depending on the candidate’s experience and expertise. While the primary focus for these positions resides in the teaching mission of the College, service and scholarship to the University and the College are an expectation of all faculty members. A successful candidate will help foster a community of belonging, and will utilize a justice lens to effectively engage with all members of the CU Nursing community, specifically faculty, staff, students, and community partners with diverse identities.
This position may involves didactic and clinical teaching responsibilities. Didactic courses are taught in the classroom, online, or in blended formats. Supervision of clinical courses includes clinical conferences using online conferencing, site visits, and close communication with clinical preceptors.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Instructor of Clinical Teaching: $86,500 to $96,700 annually at 1.0 FTE
Senior Instructor of Clinical Teaching: $90,800 to $96,200 annually at 1.0 FTE
Assistant Professor of Clinical Teaching: $95,000 to $115,000 annually at 1.0 FTE
Associate Professor of Clinical Teaching: $115,000 to $125,000 annually at 1.0 FTE
Professor of Clinical Teaching: $130,000 to $155,000 annually at 1.0 FTE
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
