Background:
United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) strive to promote gender equality and women’s human rights, strengthen the implementation of gender-sensitive policy and legislation, and eliminate all forms of violence against women. UN Women is strategically positioned at both the national and provincial levels in moving towards the realization of gender equality and women’s empowerment. UN Women provides support to innovative initiatives that promote women’s human rights, with a special focus on their economic security, governance/ political participation, freedom from violence, as well as access to justice.
Effective women’s movements during the current war in Sudan require capacity-building for women’s organizations engaged actions geared towards peacebuilding and humanitarian responses. UN Women is committed to capacity building for women’s organizations and initiatives using different platforms, such as meetings, conferences, and other relevant events, in addition to training and technical assistance. Women’s Led Organizations requested UN Women to build their capacity on 1) UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security; 2) mediations and negotiation skills and 3) effective coordination. Women Led Organizations mentioned that they have not received sufficient training and by conducting these trainings they would contribute effectively to humanitarian responses and peace building efforts.
Based on the above, UN Women will conduct three back-to-back trainings as follows:
UN Women will recruit a rapporteur to support the documentation of the three workshops as per the below responsibilities.

The consultancy will be completed within 16 working days. Payment will be in line with UN Women rates and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
