ROLE SUMMARY
The Vice President, US Medical Affairs Lead, Pfizer Specialty Care (SC) is responsible for leading the US Medical team comprised of Brand Medical Strategy teams across SC therapeutic areas and will partner closely with the Field Medical organizations, including Field Medical Director and Field Medical Outcomes organizations. This leader will set the group’s vision and strategic direction to yield the highest level of medical impact for the US SC Medical Affairs organization.
The US Medical Lead works highly collaboratively with Global Medical leads, other Regional Heads, publications, Medical Excellence, PRD and Commercial leads. The US Medical Lead is an integral member of the US Medical Leadership Team. The US SC Lead is responsible for regional strategy and all US related functions inclusive of data generation (in partnership with PRD, as appropriate) and evidence dissemination and education of key stakeholders and medical experts in the use of our in-line medicines, late-stage development portfolio and aligned with our therapy areas. He/She is expected to build and maintain strong opinion leader relationships engaging in external collaborations to gain insight and to inform clinical development and life cycle plans.
The leader will ensure a world class team with exceptional regional understanding of one of the most important global markets, exceptional peer and KOL relationships and a superb understanding of the regional health care ecosystem and access environment. With exceptional asset knowledge this will contribute to the global asset strategy.
The lead will also work with partners to leverage operational excellence in the region to ensure timely delivery of major clinical trials, IIRs, RWE and core dissemination activities. Accountable to build regional medical budget and to execute with excellence and highest levels of integrity and compliance. The US SC Medical Lead will also facilitate and manage the team’s appropriate internal information sharing and coordination (e.g., with relevant U.S. commercial teams) to ensure that they are conducted in compliance with both Pfizer and external policies, guidelines, and regulations.
The VP, US SC Medical Lead, is a key member of the US Medical Leadership Team and reports to the Head of US Medical Affairs. He/she and will contribute to the development of a vision, strategic direction, and implementation plan regarding alignment of cross-functional engagement of customers across the U.S. and ensure the Brand Medical activities result in a positive medical customer experience and impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $256,100.00 to $426,800.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
