Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Video Editor for a four-week contract to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in video composition, motion graphics, and the innovative use of AI-generated imagery. This role requires a creative visionary with the technical expertise to bring our projects to life with precision and artistic flair.
During the period of the job, we need the right candidate to create AI-generated imagery, develop motion graphics and edit two episodes of our video podcast series with a highly renowned media outlet, whilst our video editor is on leave.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
– Experience in video editing and motion graphics, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects.
– Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop Cinema 4D).
– Experience with AI tools for generating images and visuals, such as Runaway, MidJourney, DALL-E, or similar platforms.
– Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and colour theory.
– Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
– Strong communication and organisational skills.
Preferred Skills:
– Knowledge of sound design and audio editing.
– Familiarity with video production processes and equipment.
Job Responsibilities
Video Composition:
– Lead the editing and composition of high-quality video content, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual narrative.
– Collaborate with the creative team to understand project goals and deliver visually compelling stories.
– Enhance footage through colour correction, grading, rotoscoping, generative fill and other post-production techniques to maintain a high production standard.
Motion Graphics:
– Design and integrate motion graphics to enhance video content, including titles, lower thirds, transitions, and visual effects.
– Create custom animations that align with project themes and brand guidelines.
– Utilise advanced motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) to deliver polished and professional results.
AI-Generated Imagery:
– Leverage AI tools to generate images and visuals that enhance video content.
– Stay current with AI trends and technologies to incorporate innovative visual solutions.
