If you are a communicative person looking for a dynamic and high pace role this is an opportunity for you. At this exciting role at the British Consulate-General Sao Paulo will provide administrative support to the DBT (Department for Business & Trade) Commercial team as well as the UK government’s Export Credit Agency.
The selected candidate will support the teams and the DBT Senior Management on the challenging role to help increase bilateral trade and investment between Brazil and the United Kingdom.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high pace diverse environment, participating in commercial meetings and working on trade missions, ministerial visits, internal and external events in order to develop professional skills and experience to enhance future career prospects.

Applicants must have the legal status to live and work in Brazil.
Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary, eg some non-local national staff and some spouses or partners of UK diplomatic staff, will have their salaries abated by an equivalent amount.
Appointable candidates who were unsuccessful may be placed on a ‘reserve list’. If during the reserve period of 6 months the same or a largely similar role becomes available, that role may be offered to the second or subsequent candidate.
Learning and development opportunities:
The Department for International Trade encourages staff development through interns programme, shadowing with colleagues and an effective development plan.
Essential HMG training will be given at the beginning of the Internship, with on-the-job training available throughout.
Working patterns:
30 hours a week, no more than 6 hours per day, usually with starting and finishing times at 09:00 and 16:00.
