Main purpose of job:
Meal preparation, Menu planning, Grocery shopping, Kitchen management, Special event, Service delivery, table setting, cleaning and maintenance, and inventory management.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve:
As a Bearer (60%)
- Plan and prepare meals according to the preferences and dietary requirement of the CBAT team daily (breakfast & dinner) 6 days a week.
- Plan menus, grocery shopping and ensuring the kitchen is stocked with necessary suppliers.
- Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the house, including bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen, and living spaces.
- Dusting, Vacuuming, mopping and organising furniture and personal belongings.
- Washing, drying, ironing and folding clothes and linens and managing laundry supplies and maintaining cleanliness in the laundry areas.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or repairs needed in the house to CBAT team. (RQMS).
- Ensuring the home is secure and safe for all CBAT members and adhere to safety protocol and emergency procedures.
- Maintain a clear communication with CBAT members about needs, schedules, and any issues that arise and liaise with service providers or contractors for household services.
- Being adaptable to the changing needs of the team and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required. 60 percentage daily
As a chef (40%)
- Execute recipes with skill and creativity adapting them as necessary to suit the team preferences.
- Manage food cost effectively by planning meals and shopping within the weekly budget.
- Keep account of pantry and refrigerator items ensuring that supplies are replenished as needed.
- Stay informed about nutrition and dietary trends to offer healthy meal options to for the team. 40 percentage daily.
Working patterns:
This is an in-house role where the jobholder will work for 6-days a week from Monday to Sunday (0830-1930). The staff will be expected to work flexibly and adjust to extra shift hours in case of any occasional extended team events or visits. Accommodation (in-line to the applicable policy) shall be provided to the staff only.

Essential on arrival:
- The ideal candidate must have 3 years of experience in a similar role within a private household, hotel or dinning establishment.
- Minimum education requirement is Secondary School Certificate (SSC).
- Able to provide exceptional service and culinary expertise in a private household.
- Have proven record in service-related aspects – Meal service and household management.
- They must be proficient in various international and local cuisines.
- Experience in meal planning grocery shopping and maintaining kitchen inventory.
- A good knowledge of dinning etiquette coupled with good interpersonal skills.
- They must have the ability to manage household task such as laundry, cleaning, and general organisation.
- Be trustworthy with a strong sense of confidentially.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and guidance.
- Ability to follow directions, take feedback positively and treat co-workers and Line Manager with respect and courtesy.
- Ensure adequate level of hygiene in maintained.

For BHC candidates, the Country Based Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply. For other than BHC candidates the basic salary will be PKR 83,811 per month. This salary is non-negotiable.
Please note that the current salaries are being dollarized and processed in USD (using a fixed corporate exchange rate from November 2022) to provide cushion against the current external market conditions. This is a temporary measure and is subject to review at regular intervals. The payroll will revert to local currency processing once the external market conditions are normalised.
BHC offers a great benefits package that comprises of Annual Domiciliary cover and Medical Insurance Scheme which includes PKR 1,500,000 floater coverage per family for self, one spouse/long term partner and children under the age of 19 or under 23, if in full-time education and not gainfully employed. The Annual Domiciliary cover for day-to-day medical payments is upto PKR 200,000 per family (basis actual bills submission).
Additionally, The British High Commission contributes to a retirement provision in the form of a mandatory provident fund.
