- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources preferably within an international environment, either in the government or private sector;
- Robust employment law knowledge and how this underpins HR policies & practices;
- Proven leadership skills and team management experience;
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills;
- Ability to delegate, prioritise and multi-task when coping with a heavy workload in fast changing circumstances;
- Clear concise communication skills and strong numerical skills;
- Discretion and empathy when dealing with sensitive staff issues;
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Applications and general database programmes;
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision;
- Ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines, without compromising the quality of work or customer care;

- Positive energy with a can do / will do mind-set;
- Experience leading and building dynamic teams;
- Knowledge of payroll;
- Flexibility to travel regulalry to Ankara

This is a full-time, permanent contract, for 5 working days (36 hours and 15 minutes net), per week.
The monthly salary for this position is 3,800 USD gross, paid in 12 instalments, HEO level. Please note that staff members are responsible for paying any income tax required by local law.
All applicants should have the right to live and work in Türkiye. The British Embassy does not sponsor work permits.

- A minimum of 25 days annual leave per year (calculated pro-rata) starting from the first day of employment.

The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check, security clearance and a probation period of 2 months.
Staff recruited locally by the British Consulate General in Istanbul are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Turkish employment law.
