The British Vice Consulate in Antalya is part of a worldwide network representing British political, economic, and consular interests overseas and is now looking to hire a Security Guard.
We expect our security guards to set an example in respecting the British Vice Consulate in Antalya internal procedures as well as the law and display a pleasant and professional demeanour at all times.
Roles and responsibilities:

- Responsible for providing security service at the consulate
- To carry out search procedures of visitors.
- To provide security oversight to visiting maintenance contractors and, if necessary, a search of their vehicle.
- To escort visitors to and from the building
- Maintain records of all visitors entering and leaving.
- Scan mail and parcel items.
- To perform security checks in and outside the building including security and fire alarm system
- To liaise with alarm companies.
- To lock and unlock the office. Complete occurrence book and patrol records.
- Monitor CCTV.
- To risk assess any potential threat. Report directly to Antalya team, and if necessary TNP and Security Manager in Ankara.

- High school diploma;
- Hold a valid Security Certificate 5188;
- Minimum 3 years of Security background;
- Fluency at C1 in Turkish & B2 in English;
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
- Ability to build relationship with Turkish National Police regarding response protocols and information exchange.

This is a full-time, permanent contract for 36.25 hours net per week.
The monthly salary for this position is 920 USD gross, paid in 12 instalments, S2 level. Please note that staff members are responsible for paying any income tax required by local law.
All applicants should have the right to live and work in Turkey. The British Embassy does not sponsor for work permits.
The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check, security clearance and a probation period of 2 months.
Staff recruited locally by the British Vice Consul are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Turkish employment law.
