Department for Business and Trade (DBT)
The British Embassy in Mexico is recruiting a Senior Trade Officer to work in the Department for Business and Trade, in Mexico City or Monterrey, or Guadalajara, in the Digital, Technologies and Telecommunications Sector, but also developing work for the security, defence, aerospace and mining sectors. Our primary objective is to increase and deepen the UK-Mexico bilateral trade relationship. We are looking for an individual (with relative or transferable experience) to champion the Embassy’s trade work. Trade and Investment is at the centre of the British Government’s foreign policy priorities. Increasing the UK’s Digital, Technologies and Telecommunications industry’s footprint and market share in Mexico, whilst tackling market access barriers, is a priority for the Embassy in Mexico City. Potential collaborations and expansion whilst providing new opportunities for the UK with Mexico, is also an objective. Mexico is an important and growing partner for the UK and there is real potential to increase and diversify our trade and investment relationship over the coming years.
