Job Summary The Department of History and Jewish Studies Program in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Post WWII European History. A specialization in Jewish, Holocaust, Refugee, and Italian history is strongly preferred. Must be able to teach the Modern Europe survey, History of the Holocaust, War and Society, histories of refugees and migration, and modern Italy. This is a full-time, non-tenure-eligible faculty position in the temporary title series with an appointment not to exceed one year for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 academic terms with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. Teaching loads for visiting positions are 3 courses per semester and will include courses on Modern Europe, War & Society, History of the Holocaust, and Jewish Thought & Culture. Applicants must have a PhD in European History.
