he Department of Political Science at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting full-time faculty position in political philosophy for the 2025-2026 academic year to begin in August 2025. Candidates will be expected to

teach three sections of Introduction to Political Philosophy (27 students), one in the Fall and two in the Spring. In addition, candidates will be expected to offer a variety of upper-level courses (19 students) in political philosophy of their choosing, with two sections being offered in the Fall and one section in the Spring. Visiting full-time faculty teach 3 courses each semester and are eligible to apply for support to present at a conference or attend a professional development program through the Provost’s Supplemental Research Fund. The College will support reimbursement of relocation costs within its published policies. All full-time appointments offer competitive salaries and include full benefits.

Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field. Candidates should have experience as an instructor or teaching assistant for introductory courses in political philosophy and a Ph.D. in Political Science at the time of appointment.
