Job Summary 

The School of Humanities seeks to hire a Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of English for the 2024-2025 academic year. The candidate will teach four sections of undergraduate English classes in a mix of online and face to face formats.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Teach four undergraduate English courses according to program needs.
  2. Perform all duties related to successful teaching, including holding office hours, returning graded work on time.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have a Masters degree in English with prior teaching experience at the university level to be hired as a Visiting Instructor.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Candidate should have prior experience using Canvas, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and have a strong familiarity with teaching technologies.

Preferred Qualifications 

PhD in English to be hired as a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor
