An opportunity has arisen to join our team in Conwy and improve the health and wellbeing of the
local community by implementing the Shared Prosperity Funds as a Woodland Wellbeing Project
Officer.

This post is 2.5 days a week with a fixed term contract until December 2024, dependent on
funding.

Job purpose

  • To coordinate programmes of woodland health activities in the local project area. 
  • To disseminate expertise and knowledge among Leaders and stakeholders through coordinating
    project meetings, training events and conferences, locally. 
  • To raise the profile of the organisation through project publicity, promotion and outreach
    including website/social media publicity for the local area.
  • To work with local partners to support and add value to existing woodland-based projects. 
  • Identify key local woodlands and nature sites which are either already being used for wellbeing
    activity groups or have the potential to be improved and used.
  • To work with the coordinator and project team to meet the funding requirements of the project
    including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation and attending project
    meetings. 
  • Develop the partnership between the Golygfa Gwydyr and Coed Lleol and build on green skills
    provision in Conwy together.
