Job Description:
Take the lead in the implementation of MIYCN programs that will address the underlying causes of malnutrition among children, caregivers, and the larger community. Submit project progress reports, submit activity reports
Apply a holistic approach to addressing the problem of malnutrition in the community by ensuring integration of MIYCN with Health, WASH. Protection and Food Security
Work in close consultation with the Food Security and Livelihood sector to support Nutrition gardening activities with Mother support groups and caregivers of discharged children. Organize and take the lead, facilitating cooking demonstrations in the community as part of education campaigns to promote good Nutrition.
Work closely with the Health and Nutrition teams in the health facilities and in communities to, ensure that MIYCN counselling and awareness are done at all contact points. Ensure availability of and proper use of MIYCN Job Aids, including counselling cards, Key message booklets
Facilitate and support the formation of Mother-to-Mother support groups and male champion groups in consultation with community leaders. Capacity building in MIYCN counselling for Health Staff, Community Volunteers, Mother support groups, and male champions.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATION FOR THE ROLE
At least a Degree in Nutrition and or a Diploma/Certificate in nursing or related discipline
Experience of not less than 2 years working in a nutrition-related field
Knowledge of humanitarian principles preferred.
Must demonstrate patience, tolerance, problem-solving, open-mindedness, and interest in social justice.
Works independently with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication skills in English and Juba Arabic strongly preferred.
Mature in faith.
