Do you believe in the power of creativity, community and digital spaces to change young lives? Are you passionate about building online environments where young people feel safe, heard and inspired? If so, this role could be for you.
The Young People’s Digital Platform Manager will be the driving force behind the Roundhouse’s new Young People’s Digital Platform (currently under development), creating a vibrant, inclusive online space where young people feel safe to connect, collaborate and create. You’ll spark engagement, lead the development of inspiring creative learning content and programmes, and champion a judgement-free community that empowers young voices.
Reporting to the Head of Broadcast & Digital, you’ll be the voice of the Roundhouse within the Platform community, shaping communication strategies that energise participation and creative expression. Working closely with the Digital Platform Co-ordinator, you’ll oversee safeguarding and moderation, ensuring robust policies and processes keep the Platform safe, supportive and welcoming for all users.
Weekend and evening work will be required according to business needs.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must have a current and acceptable DBS check, or be willing to undertake one.
Benefits:
You’re an experienced community builder with a strong track record of managing online platforms and creating positive, engaged digital spaces. Confident with digital content workflows, CMSs and moderation tools, you bring excellent project management and organisational skills alongside a strong understanding of safeguarding and how to create safe online environments, ideally with experience working specifically with young people.
You’re a clear and inspiring communicator who knows how to motivate participation, stays up to date with industry developments and UK legislation (including the Online Safety Act), and understands the arts and cultural education landscape. You’re comfortable managing budgets, financial reporting and using social and professional networking tools. Above all, you are deeply committed to equality, inclusion and creating spaces where every young person feels welcome, respected and able to thrive.
