Working closely with our Co-Directors, you will provide administrative, financial and management support while helping coordinate programmes, member activity and events.
Future Arts Centres is the national network for arts centres across the UK, bringing together more than 180 organisations to share practice, influence policy and champion the role of arts centres as vital civic spaces. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the effective day-to-day running of the organisation. Working closely with our Co-Directors, you will provide administrative, financial and management support while helping coordinate programmes, member activity and events. Working closely with the Co-Directors, this role provides administrative, financial and communications support across all areas of our work. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a wide range of activities and is comfortable operating in a small, fast-moving organisation. The Administrator is the only full-time member of staff and plays a key role in keeping systems, communications and programmes running effectively. Working Pattern This is a remote role, with flexibility around working hours. The successful candidate must be within one hour’s travel of either Chester or London. The Co-Directors and Administrator meet monthly in person and weekly online. Occasional additional travel may be required for member meetings and events. Salary & Benefits Salary: c£35,000 per annum Contract: Two-year fixed term (with potential to extend, funding dependent) Hours: 35-40 hours per week Holiday: 33 days including bank holidays
About You We are looking for someone who: Has substantial administrative experience, ideally in the arts, cultural, charity or membership sector Is highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple priorities Is confident working independently in a remote environment Has strong written and verbal communication skills Is comfortable supporting senior leaders and boards Has experience maintaining financial records and organisational systems Experience of CRM systems, website updates and digital collaboration tools will be helpful. An understanding of the UK arts sector or membership organisations would be an advantage.
