Job Summary

We are looking for a Comic Book Tutor for a weekly after-school club. Children will work together to create a comic book using their own drawings and ideas.

Job Description

We’re a purpose-led organisation partnering with schools to bring inspiring creative art sessions to children. Our model connects schools with skilled freelance artists and educators.

PressPlay is seeking an experienced Comic Book Tutor to facilitate a joyful, process-led after-school club for KS2 children. Sessions are centred on play, exploration, and confidence-building, supporting children’s creative and emotional development.

The club introduces children to the fundamentals of comic creation in an accessible and engaging way. Through drawing, storytelling, and collaborative planning, children will develop characters, build narratives, and explore visual storytelling techniques such as panels, sequencing, and dialogue. Working together, the group will create a shared comic book by the end of the term. The emphasis is on learning through doing-building skills, confidence, and a sense of ownership as each child contributes to a collective final piece.
