ESL Teacher

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Employment Type: part-time

International Language School looking for:

• Part-time ESL teachers with morning and/or afternoon availability to start training immediately
• Part-time ESL teacher with leadership or management experience for future leadership role

Classes Options:

• General English – lessons include grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, and speaking 
• Yoga: Movement & Terminology (certification required)
• Sport and Physical Fitness/PT (certification required)
• Writing
• Business English
• Pronunciation
• Hawaiian Language and Culture
• Hula
• American History and Culture
• Exam Prep – Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS

Teaching Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering lessons to students in small classes ranging from 15 – 17 students

Evaluating student progress and providing ongoing guidance for improvement

Weekly paperwork and/or reports associated with teaching duties

Required Qualifications:

1+ year industry experience (preferred)

Bachelor’s degree

TEFL certification (preferred)

Experience working with international students (preferred)

Experience utilizing communicative and task-based teaching methods

The ability to work and interact well with individuals in a culturally diverse environment

A genuine love of teaching, education and developing yourself and others

A desire to improve learning outcomes and student experiences

Requirements:

Have the right to live and work in the U.S.

Highly responsible, approachable and flexible

Available to work part-time hours
