Painting and Drawing Evening Class Tutor

LU Arts at Loughborough University is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and committed Painting & Drawing Tutor to lead its highly popular adult evening classes. These run in three 8-week blocks during the University spring term, summer holidays and autumn term. The classes take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6.30-9.00pm on the Loughborough University campus. It is the same course content on both evenings, with attendees choosing which day they sign up to attend.

Classes are open to students, staff and members of the public and attract a wide range of abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced artists. Groups typically include a mix of returning and new learners, so the ability to teach mixed-ability groups and adapt sessions responsively is essential.

Facilities

Teaching takes place in-person in University teaching spaces. Core equipment and materials are provided for the teacher and course attendees.

Pay

This role is hourly paid at Grade 7 (currently £34.41, inclusive of holiday pay). Please note that travel expenses cannot be covered.
