Part time Drama Teacher West London area

Locations:

Position 1: Hanwell – Tuesdays 4pm-6pm. Greenford – Fridays 4-6pm. Northolt – Saturdays 2.30-3.30pm during term time. Further hours potentially available in Ealing and Hounslow for the right WEST LONDON BASED candidate.

Qualifications : Must hold, or be working towards, a degree in drama, performance or acting and ideally have teaching experience.
Age Groups : 5-16 years
Pay: £26-£32 per hour + travel contribution

Commitment : Must be available with no clashing commitments for at least 1 year. Must be local to Northolt, Greenford, Ealing, Hounslow areas.

Job Description : We are looking for a charismatic, lively, enthusiastic personality, with great integrity and honesty who can deliver the Drama Kids Curriculum with full energy and skill to a group of up to 25 children in the Primary age groups 5-11yrs, some groups will be divided into 5-8yrs & 9-12years. Initially whilst training the chosen teacher will work with a teacher trainer and then will work alone. Therefore we would like someone who can manage a group of this size with a positive attitude and feedback to students. You will also be required to speak to the office frequently to communicate fee payment and general class admin and so an organised person with good communication skills would be an advantage, as you will be representing our Academy.

Desirable Skills: Integrity, energy, positive attitude and honesty along with skills in both teaching and performance, excellent communication and organisational skills, good common sense! Some experience in initiating and implementing Improvisation. General desire to help children increase in confidence and self-esteem through drama. We are not a stage school and so we don’t cover singing and dancing disciplines.

Please Note: The position would suit someone with other part-time work which fit around these hours. We do not unfortunately have COVER TEACHERS so the position would only be suitable for teachers who are willing to give full commitment.
