Defining and maintaining the Group tax strategy in line with Ageas’ business strategy, values and risk appetite;
Oversight of the overall tax position of the Ageas Group, including direct and indirect taxes, across all applicable reporting frameworks;
Identification, assessment and monitoring of significant tax risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation where needed;
Governance over tax compliance, tax accounting and tax reporting at Group level, including review of key tax disclosures and reports;
Strategic tax advice to senior management and internal stakeholders on business initiatives, restructurings, M&A activities and international projects;
Coordination of interactions with tax authorities, auditors and external advisors, including tax audits and tax rulings;
Leadership, coaching and development of the Group Tax team.
Your profile
Academic degree in Tax Law, Economics or Finance;
Extensive relevant experience (min. 10 years) in international tax;
Strong expertise in corporate and international tax and tax reporting;
Experience with tax governance, audits, authorities and rulings;
Ability to operate at senior stakeholder level;
Strong leadership and people development skills;
Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a strong asset.
