Job Description

We are seeking a Music Programme Administrator who is passionate about music and keen to develop a career in Arts Management. Working closely with the Head of Music Operations, the postholder will provide essential administrative and operational support to our thriving Music Department. The role offers a broad range of experience across the department, including choir coordination, concert and event administration, workshop and community project support, website and social media activity, and the coordination of day-to-day music activities.

Essential Criteria
Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
and deadlines effectively;
A proactive and reliable approach, with the ability to take responsibility for tasks and see them
through to completion;
The ability to remain calm, flexible and confident when responding to last-minute challenges and
changing priorities;
A strong interest in, and understanding of, classical music;
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide
range of people;
A collaborative approach to working as part of a busy and varied team.

This role may be ideal for someone taking their first steps into arts administration. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent organisation, initiative and attention to detail through
their studies, volunteering, extracurricular activities, placements, part-time work or other relevant experience.

£30,900 per annum pro rata (£18,540).

0.6FTE, permanent. The ideal working pattern is Monday,
Wednesday and Thursday.

Job Requirements

Experience in administration, coordination or programme support, ideally in music, arts, events, education or community settings.
Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising with colleagues, artists, participants and external contacts.
Excellent attention to detail when managing schedules, bookings, records and communications.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, spreadsheets and digital file management; Dropbox and social media experience desirable.
Ability to work independently, use initiative and see tasks through to completion.
Collaborative, flexible and proactive approach, with a willingness to support the wider Music Team.
Interest in choral music and community engagement.
Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately and follow safeguarding procedures.
Flexibility to support concerts, workshops and choral activities as needed
