Job Summary

Waterside is a vibrant destination for performance, culture and events in the heart of Trafford. You will support the delivery of an ambitious artistic programme, providing programme, financial and audience insight support that helps grow engagement and deliver high-quality cultural experiences.

Job Description

The Programme and Audience Insights Coordinator is a key member of the Waterside Programme team, responsible for supporting the development and delivery of an ambitious, high-quality artistic programme that strengthens the venue’s profile, sustainability and impact. Working closely with colleagues, artists, partners and communities, the postholder will help coordinate activity across performing arts, visual arts, participatory projects and festivals, ensuring programmes are effectively planned, administered and delivered in line with Waterside’s vision and objectives.

The role provides vital administrative, financial and operational support to the Programme Producer and Venue Manager across Waterside and Creative Industries Trafford. You will contribute to the successful delivery of artistic activity by supporting project planning, contracting, financial monitoring and programme coordination, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

A key responsibility of the role is collecting, maintaining and analysing programme, audience and performance data to support reporting, evaluation and informed decision-making. Working with audience insight and business information, you will help identify trends, measure impact and support the continued development of programmes that engage audiences and meet organisational objectives.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues, artists, cultural organisations and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between artistic delivery, audience insight and business operations. Through strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach, you will contribute to Waterside’s continued success as a vibrant cultural destination, helping to create meaningful experiences for audiences, artists and communities across Trafford and the wider region.

Job Requirements

This role requires a well-organised and proactive individual with GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent), relevant vocational training and a commitment to ongoing professional development. You will have experience in administrative, financial or business support roles, ideally within an arts, cultural or public sector environment, together with strong digital skills and confidence using Microsoft 365 and related systems. An interest in the arts and cultural sector and its impact on communities is essential. You will demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and support effective administration.
